To see this land the way he meant for it to look would just be unbelievable. I can only hope that some good is coming from this barron land they call the cradle of creation. We should not ever take our great land of America for granite. When the bible tells us the story of the promise land I can only see what we have and that is a great promise from him. Sand storms, walking in soft and hard sand and they do it with no shoes on their feet. I don't see how the sheep and camels do any grazing. I must go I will add another blog soon. The date by virtue of looking at this wonder machine is 11 April 2007. I have done a lot of neat things in my 39 plus years but trying to play the role of an American fighting machine on the ground, when I was trained to be a flying fighting machine I learned real quick that at an older age a flying fighting machine just seams to be more graceful. Well as some may know by now my wonderful family is being blessed with a gracious gift from God and him only I believe that he can and does do the impossible my family is living proof of this message. As with life and it's cycle as we receive new gifts old ones may need to be taken. What I mean by this statement is that with good news sometimes comes bad news, let me set the sandbox up for you (sandbox) army term for laying out the plan or situation. On 2 April 2007 as I sat in IED training
the Lord keep running a vision of the most unbelievable thing I could ever imagine, hence me not
picking up what he was laying down. When I got home from training that day I checked my email and Jenny had sent me an email that said "call as soon as possible". So I went and ate my dinner and came back and called to get a full report. So here it goes, hang on it gets good. She asked me to think of the most unbelievable thing in the world. So I said the house blow up and left a big hole in the ground to put a basement in and build a new house. Her answer was not that at all. I'd like to add that it was a good thing that I was sitting on a sandbag. Her reply back was I'm pregnant so I then understood the visions. Jenny said she went to the doctor and he told her she was 5 months along and heard a heart beat. Then came Wednesday she got a sonogram showing us our little one. Well everything is going well We got though that week then came Easter Sunday I called jenny that evening and then came the news I was not ready for at all she started crying so I asked her what was wrong and she said my dog had died as she was crying she said your dog really missed you. I told her to not to be getting so upset it is not good for you or the baby in your womb. We most learn to take the good with the bad that is how the lord would want us to do things believe in him and it will be. Some of you may say where are those pictures from your last blog well lets try this again? Well that was of no luck I hope to have this figured out before I leave. In his all loving knowledge, Jim

Sandsquid's Second week

Well I've just got to say the Army is taken good care in building me into a fighting Squid. You know the family being close and all, some of them went to the airport to see me off. That was a hoot mother told everyone to be at the airport at 14:00 my flight didn't leave till 16:50. So some of them were calling me and Jenny wanting to know were we where. Then we all checked in at the ticket counter one by one id's in hand. As we go through security my niece had to donate her lotion and perfume to the TSA. My stepfather well you kinda have to know him he's way old school from a different time or way of life. He walks through the metal detector and sounds all the bells and whistles. You know the type bag of chow in his back pocket (aluminum foil), wad of keys hanging on his belt, and two pocket knives. Well needless to say we said our good byes at that point. We all -1 went to the gate to wait for that time to come. I was able to have a friend fly out to California with me we both had a wonderful 4 Hr 18 min flight to LAX. Once we got there it was get the $11.49 truckey sandwich and bottle water for dinner and prepare for our two hour scenic journey through simi valley and moorpark to lovely ventura county, Port Hueneme Ca. We went to gear issue on Monday just to start thing out not getting everything, All day briefs Tuesday, medical Wednesday (more shots), Thursday
dental (smile) everything good with teeth thanks goodness, Friday Gas mask fitting What fun! More equipment issue then to the computer lab to do 14 course's online just in order to have two days off. Sunday will be a long day but its R/R they gave us free nascar tickets to the auto lite 500. Well please let me know how everyone is doing by visiting my blog. By the way I have alot of christian brothers out here with me so they will be fun to work with. One of them has asked me to help him witness to whom we can, IE. we have Arabic /English Book of John and Romans to hand out about 300.
